The natural woven surface, before any colour — the ground the figure will eventually inhabit.
Gesso ground
A chalky white ground brushed across the weave — tooth for the oil and life for the light that later rakes across it.
Palette-knife impasto
Iron-oxide and ochre laid in ridges by hand — the figure emerges from the knife, not a brush.
Signed & dated on the back
Every original is signed and dated by the hand that made it. A Certificate of Authenticity is included with each piece.
