It is an original hand-painted oil on stretched canvas, made to order in our collective. The hats, stripes, and floral shirt are knifed on in thick geometric blocks, so the ridged surface and ochre ground are genuine paint rather than a print.
The slate blue, brown, and ochre feel grounded and companionable, so it works in a hallway, a study, or above a console. It pairs well with walnut, brass, and warm-toned textiles, and reads clearly from across a room.
