It is an original hand-painted oil on stretched canvas, made to order in our collective. The navy-teal horse, the trough, and the cowgirl are built in thick knife strokes over a golden-ochre ground, so the ridged texture is genuine paint rather than a reproduction.
The long 16:9 format and heavy impasto suit a horizontal wall, above a sofa, a console, or a bench in a den or study. The warm golden ochre carries a north-facing room and pairs well with brass, leather, and warm wood.
