It is an original hand-painted oil on stretched canvas, made to order in our collective. The dark striped dress and swirled hat are knifed on in thick bands, so the ridged surface and bright cream ground are genuine paint rather than a reproduction.
The charcoal, oxblood, and deep olive give it a moody, low-lit weight, so it settles a study, a stairwell, or a snug. It pairs well with walnut and brass, and brings a darker, grounding note to a warm-walled room.
